A Woman's Daily Walk With God
Welcome to my blog website, The Secret Path, about my own personal walk with Jesus.
Most of these posts in “Walk With Me” are about a journey through the woods walking on a path with Jesus, alone. It is my secret path. My personal Christian journey with God. It just happens to be expressed through a picture of woods and a path. This is my 4th year of this prayer and meditation journey.
See About Us to see how it all started.
Why have I posted my personal walk with God?
I post them now because when I have shared them with friends – it has blessed and encouraged them. It also seemed to put a desire in their heart to draw closer to God.
The longer I thought about it the more I realized that if it blessed my friends it may even bless a larger audience that I know nothing about.
I have taken out any personal references to me from the original so that you can read it as though Jesus is speaking with you. He really would like to, you know.
Read one a day or a whole month’s worth at once. There are interesting object lessons that take place along the way.
If you want to read from the beginning of the journey, just go to the oldest post and start there. I have them listed out in months to make it easier to follow. Then when you get to the beginning look for week 1 and the months will be listed in weeks with the days within that post section.
May you be blessed as I am even as I continue this journey.

Jesus here I am again; rock still in my hand. On hands and knees digging before the melting mud, loosening the glass.
Let it fall.
So I keep digging. The edges of the glass begin to slip downwards- out of their hold of the mud. Step back.
Jesus comes forward and takes a spot that has been loosened near the top right corner; he sticks His hand in the space and pulls the glass wall down. It falls with a mighty shatter.
The way is open.
Enter in and release the captives. I step in over the glass and the mud wall. What I see are rocks. They don’t look like much but there are many.
Lord what do I do?
Let your light shine for Me.
Lord Jesus, let me hear only from You.
Let My light shine through you, Lisa.
How?
Be My ambassador. Touch the rock.
Yes, Lord.
I touch the rock.
Let My light shine through you to this rock.
Lord help me. I don’t know how, but I will obey. I am willing.
Being willing is what I need from you.
Close your eyes and pray for light to shine in the darkness.
Lord, yes, let Your light shine in the darkness. Bring Your light to these captives. Set them free. Come, Lord Jesus.
As I pray, my hands get quite hot holding this rock.
Nothing seems to happen to the rock. It is me that seems to be changing.
As I continue praying and being in the attitude of anticipation for what God will do here, I begin to glow. From deep inside, my heart feels light and becomes light. I begin to glow with light just like those pinecones!
Then I realize I am one of those pinecones! God is using me to light up this dark place.
As I get brighter, more of the cave that was behind the glass begins to be revealed. There are clusters of rocks in every nook and cranny in the cave.
Lord, let this light in me that is from You, do something to these rocks.
The rock I am holding begins to get warm to the touch. It then begins to grow reddish then yellow.
Lord, release the captives, set them free to worship You.
Suddenly the rock begins to melt away just like the mud until in my hand is a perfect little pinecone!
“Let your light shine for Jesus”, I tell the pinecone.
A small glimmer of light begins to appear in ins center. It begins to glow brighter the longer I hold it.
Let Your light shine in this dark place.
It is time to set it down. It is ready.
I set the pinecone on the floor in the middle of a group of rocks.
Immediately some rocks begin to melt. Amazing how fast that happened.
They too were captive pinecones. Now they can be light, too.
Leave them all here, Lisa, for it will take more of them to bring enough light to free more captives.
Not all will melt; many will remain hard. They have chosen it.
There are many parts to this cave.
Find each nook and cranny, and do what you did here.
Not all will melt, but you must try.
I continue holding rocks, praying for praying for light, seeing some rocks melt; others not.
Once each area has been lit at least for a little while, I exit the exhibit area and enter the center of the cave, again.
Now dig out another prison.
Yes, Lord.
This happens to all four exhibits. It is exciting work and takes along time.
It is wonderful seeing all these pinecones shining for You, Jesus.
We are finished here.
The light has been shown and it is unleashed here. We must now move on in our journey.
Continue to be light, My precious pinecone.
As we step out of the cave we take a few hundred steps down the continuing path.
Turn around and see.
We turn and suddenly there is a tremendous glow of radiating light coming from the cave, like a mini sun.
Light emits out of the entrance. Suddenly the cave collapses. The mud melts away, leaving rocks and pinecones sitting on the forest floor.
The captives have been set free.
Thank You, Jesus. You are so good!
Walk in joy, Lisa. You are blessed this day for seeing My salvation come to this place – no longer of darkness but of light.
Thanks You Lord, for letting me join in Your work to such and end as this.
It is well, Lisa.
Read MoreJesus I love bringing light to the darkness. It is so wonderful in the truest sense of the word to see it happen.
Lord, let me hear only from You, Jesus.
Take another pine cone and bring it with you.
Yes, Lord.
My light changes even the hardest ground.
Off to our left appears a cave. It rests against nothing.
It is almost like a mound; a large, enormous anthill.
Why is this monstrosity here?
This is the hard ground.
The ground has made itself a wall. A wall of protection.
Why?
It is part of the darkness and wants nothing to do with the light, though it fears the light.
This is an enemy mound. It blocks the light from getting to its inhabitants.
Is this a picture of the real enemy’s plan? His purpose?
It is.
What I thought was a cave became a mound, because I could see no door.
I want you to go in and bring light to the captives inside.
But how do we get in?
Set the light on the ground outside where there should be an entrance.
Wait and watch.
As we stand there, the pinecone light which I placed before the mound grew brighter.
Then it did something different.
A sound emitted from the pinecone, like a resonance.
It seemed to be matching the resonance of the mound.
There was some sort of connection for the mound began to glow red hot and then melted just enough to create a rounded door.
It was actually a cave, but it had been a sealed cave.
Enter in and bring light to the captives.
Yes, Lord.
I cautiously step over the pile of melted rubble and mud and enter the cave.
Jesus watches me. Like a father watches a daughter ride a bike for the first time.
Take the pinecone and set it on that rounded stalagmite.
Okay.
Now let it be for a while.
Look around. What do you see?
I see what looks like museum artifacts or zoo exhibits.
There are rocks- some type of crystals and other things that are set behind glass.
These are exhibits of the enemy.
They voluntarily come to him, but didn’t know they would become museum pieces or zoo exhibits for his gloating power.
Can they be released?
Yes.
How?
Let Me walk in.
Why can’t You just come in?
I must be invited.
Can’t I invite You in?
It is a start, but I must be invited in by others.
I choose this way. It is for the Father’s glory.
Lord, Jesus, please come into this very dark place. Release the captives. Let them know they are captives.
I will.
He enters the threshold.
Pray for the light to shine brighter.
Yes Lord – Lord bring abundant light to this place of darkness.
Release Your light.
The pinecone begins to burst with light, so bright it is hard to look at.
The corners of the glass walls where it implants itself in the hard mud begins to melt.
Dig.
Let the light shine and dig.
Loosen the glass hold.
I find loose rocks all around the cave floor. I pick up on with a rather pointed end and dig.
Lord, give me strength to loosen the glass. I can’t do it without You.
I am here, Lisa. Be at peace.
Just dig.
Yes, Lord.
Read MoreJesus here I am again to continue our journey. Lord Let I hear only from You.
Be at peace. Walk with Me today.
Yes, Lord.
The woods continue to slightly slope uphill and the trees continue to be part of the orchard. It is very lovely.
The slope has flattened out again and the trees have opened up a bit past the Road.
Jesus thank you that You never tire of holding my hand.
You still have your ring on?
Yes, Lord. I will never remove it.
Good.
We walk on and to the right just off the path is the remnant of what seems to be an old building, maybe a house.
The only thing left though, as it stands crumbling before us, is the chimney and part of the fireplace.
Lord, Jesus, why is this here?
It decayed from disuse.
It represents many who have gone before you.
It was a place of rest alongside the journey. But people chose to worry and bypass it rather than take rest there.
Why would anyone not want to r rest there?
Often times you couldn’t see it.
Why not?
It was covered. It is a place you have to seek for. Seek My rest; My place of rest.
Many were too busy or worried to even consider seeking My rest.
Lord, how do people miss it?
They don’t always walk this road with Me. Some try to go it alone.
But Lord You said there is no path without You. So how can they be on this road?
Those that walk on this road do know Me. They have received My salvation. They just have not walked in My peace and My rest. They don’t let Me intervene in their lives. They do not ask much of Me. So I do not give much of Me. They will be regretful in the end; many already are. Now many have entered My rest from the world and see what they missed when they walked with Me on this earth. I wanted more for them and from them. Yet they are saved and safe now.
Lord, Let me enter Your rest.
Let me be aware to ask this of You and seek for Your places of rest and peace.
I don’t want to let any places of rest and peace crumble from disuse for my part.
I need You, Lord.
From behind the broken ruin is another building. A lovely cottage. Flowers blooming over the framed door. A garden of flowers. Very welcoming.
Yes, Lord I will follow You in.
He smiles and opens the door.
I step in.
Jesus here I am again. Lord let me hear only from You. Let my steps and my mind be guided only by you, Jesus.
Apparently when I entered the cottage of rest it redirects the path we take. For we enter the path again from the open back door.
When you take My rest and obey My word, the path is redirected. It is still the same path but we bypassed a big piece of it. There were some troubles up ahead, some hard going places, yet they are not now.
Thank You Lord, for Your protection and blessing.
I look forward to this next piece of our journey.
Good. Let’s walk.
Yes, Lord.
Jesus, here I am. At the foot of the door of the rest cottage. Ready to step out on the path.
Jesus steps out first and offers His a hand with a smile.
He is so welcoming.
Yes, Lord.
I take His hand unsure of our next destination point on this journey.
Lord, wherever You go and take me along I willl go willingly. As long as I know You are holding my hand, I will not resist.
Let us walk from here.
Okay.
The path is before another patch of trees. The cottage is in a clearing with woods all around.
This path goes deep into the woods before me.
The pine trees are tall but low to the ground are their beginning branches.
Lord, Jesus, let me hear only from You.
There are many pinecones on these trees.
Take one and discover its secrets.
As I take one of the pinecones they seem ready to drop.
These pinecones are unusually beautiful, almost artwork. It sparkles like gold but it isn’t covered with glitter.
It radiates like gold but it is still a brown pinecone.
I look deeper into the pinecone and see what looks like light in the center of it. That light comes through the cone pieces in an almost translucent way. – This is what gives off the look of gold.
The light encompasses the whole of the cone.
These are beautiful, Lord.
Why are they like that?
They radiate what is their core. If it is good then they are good.
Light permeates all things.
Let your light shine – from the core of your inside – Let is shine as this pinecone. From the inside out.
Help me do that Lord.
I want Your light to permeate me.
It is good. I will show you how.
Jesus, here I am again. Still holding the amazing pinecone. Lord, let me hear only from You.
Take the pinecone and set it on this post.
A wooden post is standing there; rather seeming out of place. I set it there and the light continues to glow getting gently brighter and brighter. It gradually turns these darkened woods to daylight sunshine – radiating light all around.
How beautiful!
‘Let your light so shine among men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.’
Yes, Lord. Show me how.
I will, My love.
Let us go from here, I have many things I want to show you.
Yes, Lord.
As we walk away we start seeing other twinkles begin in the trees.
It is contagious. When one light shines for Me it causes others to be bold and shine where they are, also.
What a lovely concept. Help me to help other lights shine brightly and not dimly or hidden.
Come with Me we must continue our journey.
Yes, Lord.
Thank You for not only showing the way but leading the way.
It is good continue with Me. I am good.
Yes Lord, I know.
I bless you, my child.
Thank You, Jesus.
Jesus here I am in these woods lit up from all the pinecones.
Very magical – in a good sense.
We must let these shine and continue our journey onward.
Yes, Lord.
Take My hand.
The woods grow dark up ahead because there are no pinecone lights here.
I will show the way.
The pinecone lights fade quickly almost as if there is a barrier that blocks out the light.
Is there a banner, Lord?
There is.
What kink of barrier?
It is the darkness barrier. The darkness of this world battles the light of the world constantly.
This is one of the walls where we can see it clearly.
Lord, how do we bring light through the barrier?
Go back and pick another pinecone that burns bright on the tree. Do not take the one on the post for it is doing its duty to keep others lit.
I go back a few paces. Jesus lets go of my hand, but watches me. I pick a bright pinecone from one of the outer branches.
It still burns brightly in my hand. It is even warm to the touch.
Walk back to me. Take gentle care of the light.
Yes, Lord.
I bring the light past the invisible barrier of darkness. The light flickers for a moment, then burns even brighter.
Let this light shine bright in the darkness. Set it in the branches of this tree. Set it where it can stay and not fall.
Let’s watch what happens.
I obey and step back. Jesus takes my hand as I stand there.
The lone pinecone burns bright and begins to light its part of the tree where it sits.
Suddenly, what looks like fireflies at first in the dark depths of the pine tree, begin to multiply. They look like candles all over the tree – at least half of the tree.
This pinecone is now doing what it is designed to do and be. Be light.
Take one of the brighter pine cones and we will move it on to the next part of the forest where there is no light. This will be our work throughout this forest.
Thank You, Lord - I love it and you!
